Come watch a Harry and the Hendersons and enjoy free popcorn and beverages!
Returning from a hunting trip in the forest, the Henderson family’s car hits an animal in the road, but when they examine the “body” they find it’s a “bigfoot”. They decide to take it home (there could be some money in this..) But far from being the ferocious monster they fear “Harry” to be, he’s a friendly giant. In their attempts to keep Harry a secret, the Henderson’s have to hide him from the authorities and a man, who has made it his goal in life, to catch a “bigfoot”.

A huge thanks to everyone who joined us for last week’s April Play-cation! Families enjoyed a nature walk, created clay masterpieces, wrote original songs, wove colorful cloth, invented with Legos, and so much more.
Ranger Marieke and young musicians at April Play-cation!
It was a difficult week for the Boston area, but we are so thankful for the strong, creative community of families who attended events. At Lowell National Historical Park, kids participating in the week’s Songwriting Workshops composed and performed songs about friendship, the Lowell community, another song about the awesome city of Lowell, and what makes them happy. (Click the links for audio!)
Thanks also to our partners at the American Textile History Museum, Pollard Memorial Library, Lowell Senior Center, Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust, Tsongas Industrial History Center, Lowell Recreation Department, and Lowell National Historical Park. All of us have lots of family activities planned for summer, so stay tuned by following Lowell Kids Week on Facebook and Twitter!
