Stories, Songs, and Silliness: April Play-cation recap

A huge thanks to everyone who joined us for last week’s April Play-cation! Families enjoyed a nature walk, created clay masterpieces, wrote original songs, wove colorful cloth, invented with Legos, and so much more.

It was a difficult week for the Boston area, but we are so thankful for the strong, creative community of families who attended events. At Lowell National Historical Park, kids participating in the week’s Songwriting Workshops composed and performed songs about friendship, the Lowell communityanother song about the awesome city of Lowell, and what makes them happy. (Click the links for audio!)

Thanks also to our partners at the American Textile History Museum, Pollard Memorial Library, Lowell Senior Center, Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust, Tsongas Industrial History Center, Lowell Recreation Department, and Lowell National Historical Park. All of us have lots of family activities planned for summer, so stay tuned by following Lowell Kids Week on Facebook and Twitter!
